Underwriting Supervisor

Job Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the handling of all aspects of the underwriting department including communication, documentation, and evaluation
  • Complete regular quality audits of staff's work
  • Mentor and develop underwriting staff regarding roles, responsibilities, and practices to promote maximum team performance
  • Provide excellent customer service to insureds and agents
  • Leverage and understand local and state regulations and industry trends
  • Handle special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of supervising experience within standard or non-standard auto insurance market
  • Detail oriented individual with the ability to multi-task
  • Strong communication skills
  • Familiar with regulations for IL, TX, and OK, preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Diamond insurance software experience, preferred
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred

Application Developer

Job Responsibilities:
  • Work on a project team to develop existing and new custom software. Existing applications would include the following: Agent Portal; Insured Portal; Employee Portal and Tools; 3rd Party Integrations
  • Participate in design phase of application interface, application functionality, and database design
  • Work on both front end and server-side development efforts, leveraging JavaScript, JQuery, C#, .NET framework, Web API, and SQL.
  • Engage and communicate with the Falcon BA team to help produce the best possible product.
  • Stay abreast of Agile development methodologies
  • Provide routine status to the Application Development Manager
  • Participate in code review with Senior Application Architect as well as Application Development Manager.
  • Continue to advance knowledge of Technologies that Falcon employs, including but not limited to: React.JS, Node.JS, Vue.JS, Knockout.JS, and/or Angular; MVC or MVVM design patterns; MySQL and MongoDB; Selenium; CSS, LESS, SASS
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years’ experience or recent graduate from a top-tier university
  • Excellent logic, communication, and troubleshooting skills
  • Flexibility and resourcefulness in design and development are a plus
  • Self-starter and able to complete tasks without direct supervision
  • Strong desire to constantly learn and add to skill set. We are constantly trying to take advantage of the latest and greatest technologies and require individuals to fully embrace that concept.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate with Business users both to understand and question requirements and to produce the best product possible is vital.

Auto Damage Field Appraiser

Dallas, TX

Job Requirements:
  • Examine damaged vehicle to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical, electrical, or interior damage
  • Estimate parts and labor to repair damage, using standard automotive labor and parts-cost manuals and knowledge of automotive repair
  • Effectively manage work assignments and promptly travel to location of vehicle/equipment.
  • Arrange to view vehicle/equipment if not readily accessible
  • Prepare insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations
  • Occasional field re-inspections of damaged automobiles
  • Comply with all insurance department regulations and applicable laws
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with high quality body shops
  • Work with shops and salvage yards to inspect vehicles and handle supplements
  • Work independently and managing issues as needed
  • Review and evaluate estimates submitted by 3rd party
Qualifications:
  • Experience writing estimates in Audatex
  • Strong technical background including extensive knowledge of auto repair and repair techniques, including a thorough understanding of auto terminology and construction
  • Strong understanding of the local marketplace
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with individuals from all backgrounds
  • Handle deadlines effectively and efficiently
  • Valid driver’s license
